About

There & Back

What an amazing journey!  If you’ve been a follower of my blog before the long hiatus, you watched a tomboy bloom into womanhood.  Things seemed to be going great, and then COVID shut us all down.  People spent a lot of time alone with their thoughts and got to know themselves better.  I got to know myself better, and realized that a lot of this new “womanhood” was performative.  Sure, it made me happy, but it wasn’t me.

In July 2020, shortly after I stopped blogging, I sat down for my first telehealth appointment.  Not because I was sick, but because I was ready.  Ready to be me.  I explained the issues I’d been having, eventually breaking down in tears as I opened up to the doctor about some things I had done to cope in private.  After that, I began a new chapter in my life.  On July 11th, I started testosterone injections.

I’ve left this blog untouched since then, unsure what to do with it.  Most of the posts have been great resources, so I wanted them to still be available.  I feel like I’ve had a good 5 years to figure things out and it’s time to kick the dust off so you can join me.

  1. I’ve just stumbled on your blog by searching for info on poi… I love the idea of a garden of misfit flowers! I’ll be just over there, by the roses…
